Yoga has quickly gained major momentum throughout the United States and the rest of the world.  If you ask your friends and family it’s likely at least a few are yoga regulars.  It’s no surprise, as yoga yields incredible benefits to health, fitness, and the mind’s health.  There are so many different forms of yoga that have become popular from traditional yoga to hot yoga to so many others.  It’s really no surprise that yoga has seen such a rise in popularity, it’s been around for many years and practiced since ancient times.  Much of this comes from the incredible benefits that have been found through practicing yoga.

Many yogis actually have found that starting the day with a simple 20-minute yoga practice can yield amazing benefits for the rest of your day.  There are many that take it a step further and take their yoga practice outside as the sun rises.  Many yoga experts suggest that practicing yoga in the morning as the sun is rising is a great time to embrace the energy of the sun, before it’s at its risen point.  It’s a great way to get outside and further your yoga benefits to a whole new level.

Many yogis have found that starting your day bright and early with some yoga has such amazing benefits, and you really don’t need to spend a lot of time doing it.  Spending as little time as 20 minutes in the morning practicing yoga outside can bring about powerful boosts to your day.  The first benefit that’s been found from early morning yoga practice is an increase in energy.  While many of us are used to starting our days with a cup of coffee, yoga practice in the morning can bring about the same type of energy.  Taking your practice outside will bring a great boost of oxygen and air to your brain to give you that energy boost.

Aside from the incredible energy boost, practicing yoga can also give you a great sense of meditation and calming to begin your day.  Since we live in such a hectic world it’s easy to get caught up in the stress and overwhelm throughout the days.  This is likely why we’ve seen such an increase in popularity with yoga recently, we all know we need some calmness in our lives and yoga is a great way to get in a more meditative state-of-mind.  Getting outside in the morning to do your yoga practice can get you in touch with nature, which can also be incredibly calming.  Plus, if we start our day getting out with nature for a few minutes and taking some time to get in a more zen place chances are our days will be much calmer and less stressful.

It’s safe to say adding yoga into your daily routine can be a great way to add positive energies into your day.  Taking it a step further and stepping outside as the sun rises to practice your yoga can help you reap even more benefits of the practice.
